She Yolo
At YOLO Events, we are committed to promoting an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants in our running and triathlon events.
Inspired by the She Races policy, this initiative aims to remove barriers that may discourage women from participating in sports competitions and creates a space where every participant feels comfortable, supported, and respected throughout the event.
By implementing this policy, we want to encourage more women to join our sports community and achieve a more equitable representation between the number of participants and the overall demographic distribution. In this way, we contribute to reducing the gender gap among participants and creating a competitive environment where everyone feels welcome and appreciated.
YOLO Events' commitments to an inclusive experience:
1. Possibility of postponement
Any participant may postpone their participation at no extra cost, within the limits and until the dates described for each event. Registration may be postponed until the following year or transferred to another participant.
2. Equal rewards
We respect and reward the performances of both female and male participants equally, and each podium will include identical prizes for both categories. Female categories will never be merged regardless of the number of participants.
3. Inclusive communication and representation policies
Our images and communications include a diverse range of runners, both in terms of experience and physical diversity, to reflect the open and welcoming spirit of YOLO Events.
4. Equal coverage in post-event communications
All our press releases and social media posts about competition results will include equal references to the women’s and men’s rankings, thus fairly recognizing the achievements of all participants.
